Installing top-notch coating systems starts with top-notch surface preparation. In addition to diamond grinding, we shotblast all surfaces before coating. Diamond grinding alone packs surface pores full of concrete dust that a vacuum alone cannot recover. Shotblasters use steel shot to not only profile the surface, but also collects dust from within the concrete’s pores for the cleanest substrate possible. This additional process allows us to install moisture vapor barriers and other coatings with 100% confidence that the coating will attain maximum adhesion and will not delaminate from moisture vapor pressure, efflorescence, or other causes.
